An introduction to Ada provides brief overview of Ada history and time line. The history described the software crisis in 1970s and how and why it evolved into a standard. Also examines the characteristics of Ada with some simple examples in comparison to C. The seminar ends with references of who uses Ada.

This introduction seminar is targeted to anyone with or without computer programming experience.

Safety-Critical Systems and The Benefits of Using Ada

An introduction to safety-critical systems/software development by examining the characteristics and the benefits of using Ada. Audience may or may not have Ada knowledge or experience but must have some knowledge in safety-critical systems/software development.

Software Process Seminar
PSP

This is a 3 parts seminars in PSP or Personal Software Process. Part 1 defines software process and introduces PSP level 0 with practical methodology to manage the quality of projects, make commitment, improve estimation and planning and to reduce defects in software products. Part 2 introduces PSP level 1 with methodology to estimate and plan for projects. This examines methods of estimating size and duration of projects to allow more precise formulation of planning. Part 3 introduces PSP level 2 with testing of software products to minimize defects and to ensure quality of products.

Software Process Seminar
TSP

TSP or Team Software Process examines the methodology to manage a software development team in a collaborative manner based on individual PSP.

Ada Workshop

This is a 3-day workshop targeted to people with or without any computer programming experience. This workshop is also a kick-off for transition to Ada. This workshop introduces simple concepts as well as programming and object-oriented concepts with fundamental language semantics and structures. The workshop also introduces elementary in Ada tasking. Workshop provides hands-on and assignments to help participants to accelerate their learnings.

GUI Programming with Ada Workshop

This one day workshop introduces GUI programming with GtkAda on both UNIX/Linux and Windows platforms. GtkAda is a fat Ada binding to Gtk+. Knowledge or experience in Ada (or both) is recommended prior to this workshop.
