An invitation to hiking and hunting

Last month, a friend of mine, Garry called me and invited me for a hiking and hunting. Garry and I have known each other for 2 decades. We met during a hiking. We are both enthusiastic about archery. Recently, Garry has developed immense interest in archery hunting so he invited me to share this new exciting sports. Too bad, killing animals for joy is not my cup of tea so I turned him away. I did not want to disappoint him totally so I told him I would join him for hiking.

I guess I won’t be able to hike with him because of some other commitments. I have been thinking of getting him a pair of hiking boots for Christmas.
