Baby Terminator

We were going for dimsum. In the car, LA wore Nik a sunglass. Didn’t he look like Terminator (a.k.a. The Pacifier)? The sunglass is actually belong to D but he doesn’t like it very much. It’s his birthday present. Seems like Nik loves the sunglass very much.

Ladies, you have just been terminated! Ha, ha!

1st day in school

Today is Dmitry’s first day to school (officially). Unlike the two weeks orientation sessions in early December, D was purposefully refusing to get up from bed. It took some efforts for LA and I to make him wake up. Of course, there was some yelling and hassling to make him move. We got him moving and he was late for school on the first day!

As usual, we hugged and kissed good-bye at the door. He cried, “Dad, I missed you!” I could see his tears running down his cheeks. “Dad misses you too”, I said to him and kissed him one more time and left. He went in to his teacher, got a seat and then sat down, as I turned and walked away.

New Year dinner

We went to grandma’s shop in the afternoon to send new year wishes and we decided to have new year dinner together. I was thinking of taking them to the restaurant where we celebrated Nik’s 4th month but then decided not to go so far because of traffics. We passed by the restaurant beside the temple and LA said why not eat here. What a splendid idea! It was not to far from the shop and there would be no hassle and worry to be stuck in traffics.

We sat at the same table (same location) as we had dinner with Michal and Angie the other times. Again, I had the recollection of the past with Michal and Angie.

Although we had a good dinner, I did not feel happier without Angie. I missed her and we all missed her. I think mom and dad had reminiscence of having dinner with Angie at the same restaurant.

Happy New Year 2007! Wishing family and friends a prosperous and happy new year and all your wishes (and mine) come true.

Six years ago, my sister, Angie, enjoyed so much her first snow in New York together with another sister of mine, Mee. So, Mee, enjoy The Snows of New York. Is there any snow this year? The weather in NY is not cold enough to have snow this year.
